가평에 위치한 ‘키즈 풀 빌라’는 젊은 부부와 아이를 동반한 가족을 위한 프리미엄 휴양 시설로, 건축 및 인테리어 디자인을 통해 자연과 조화를 이루는 공간을 조성하는 데 중점을 두었다. 본 프로젝트는 처음에는 미니멀한 건축과 인테리어를 기반으로 설계되었으나, 가족 친화적인 공간으로 타겟이 확장됨에 따라 키즈 중심의 공간 스타일링이 추가되었다.

총 네 개의 독채로 구성된 키즈 풀 빌라는 가족 단위의 투숙객을 대상으로, 아늑하면서도 쾌적한 환경에서 소중한 추억을 만들 수 있도록 디자인되었다. 특히, 두 개의 독채에는 스위트룸 개념을 도입하여 거실 벽면을 개방할 경우 대형 독채로 변형할 수 있도록 설계해 실용성을 극대화하였다.

1층은 수영장과 주방, 다이닝 공간, 거실이 유기적으로 연결된 개방형 구조로 설계되었다. 독채마다 7m 길이의 개별 수영장을 갖추고 있으며, 모든 연령대가 안전하게 즐길 수 있도록 최대 수심 1.2m로 조성되었으며, 전면 유리창을 적용해 습기 유입을 방지하는 동시에 시각적 개방감을 극대화하였다. 또한, 슬라이딩 도어를 통해 실내와 야외 공간이 자연스럽게 연결되도록 하여 환기와 공간 활용의 유연성을 높였다.

외부 바비큐장과 연결된 다이닝 공간은 날씨와 필요에 따라 실내·외를 자유롭게 오픈하거나 폐쇄할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 넉넉한 크기의 테이블과 아동용 가구를 함께 배치하여 가족이 함께 식사하는 시간을 더욱 풍성하게 만들었으며, 공간의 중심에 위치한 다이닝 공간을 통해 가족 간의 교류와 소통이 자연스럽게 이루어지도록 하였다.

거실은 주로 물놀이와 식사 전후의 휴식 공간으로 활용되는 만큼, 간결하면서도 편안한 분위기를 연출하는 데 집중하였다. 상대적으로 협소할 수 있는 공간감을 보완하기 위해 높은 층고를 유지하고 개방적인 구조를 강조하였으며, 전체 마감은 화이트 톤 도장을 사용해 깔끔하면서도 모던한 느낌을 강조하였다. 또한, 1층이 수영장과 직접 연결된 점을 고려하여, 유지 관리가 용이하고 미끄럼 방지 기능이 적용된 타일을 사용하여 실용성을 높였다.

2층으로 올라가는 우드톤 계단을 따라가면, 편안한 침실과 넓은 외부 테라스가 이어진다. 침실에는 넉넉한 크기의 침대와 TV를 배치하고, 우드톤 벽 마감과 따뜻한 조명을 조화롭게 적용하여 편안한 분위기를 조성하였다. 외부로 연결된 테라스는 자연 경관을 감상하며 온전히 휴식을 취할 수 있도록 설계되었으며, 힐링 감성을 극대화하였다.

테라스에는 스파 공간을 배치하여 자연 속에서 더욱 풍성한 휴식을 경험할 수 있도록 하였으며, 스칸디나비아풍의 넓은 소파와 난로, 감성적인 소품을 활용해 실내와는 또 다른 차원의 분위기를 연출하였다. 밤에는 은은한 조명을 활용해 테라스를 감싸 더욱 따뜻하고 아늑한 공간감을 형성하였다.

또한, 독채 건물의 외부에는 트리하우스와 같은 아동용 놀이시설을 설치하여, 어린이들이 자연 속에서 뛰어놀며 특별한 경험을 할 수 있도록 하였다. 이는 단순한 휴양을 넘어 가족이 함께하는 소중한 순간을 더욱 특별하게 만들어준다.

본 프로젝트는 자연과 조화를 이루는 공간 디자인을 통해 가족 단위 투숙객이 편안하고 즐겁게 머물 수 있도록 설계된 키즈 풀 빌라이다. 미니멀한 디자인 속에서도 따뜻함과 실용성을 극대화하여, 단순한 휴양 공간을 넘어 특별한 경험을 제공하는 공간으로 완성되었다.

Located in Gapyeong, the Kids Pool Villa is a premium retreat designed for young couples and families with children, emphasizing architectural and interior harmony with nature. Initially conceived with a minimalist architectural and interior concept, the project evolved to incorporate family-friendly elements, enhancing its appeal as a child-centric destination.

​

Comprising four standalone villas, the resort offers a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where families can create cherished memories. Two of the villas feature a suite-style concept, allowing the living room walls to be opened, transforming the space into a large, multifunctional unit for added practicality.

​

Each villa is equipped with a private 7-meter swimming pool, seamlessly integrated into an open-plan layout connecting the pool, kitchen, dining area, and living room. Designed with a maximum depth of 1.2 meters for all age groups, the pools feature full-height glass panels to prevent humidity buildup while enhancing spatial openness. Sliding doors create a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, optimizing ventilation and functional flexibility.

The dining area, adjacent to the outdoor barbecue space, is designed for seamless indoor-outdoor integration, allowing guests to adjust the space according to weather conditions and their needs. A spacious dining table, paired with child-friendly furniture, fosters a communal dining experience that enriches family interactions at the heart of the villa.

The living area, primarily serving as a relaxation space before and after meals and swimming, follows a simple yet inviting layout. To compensate for spatial constraints, high ceilings and an open structural approach were implemented. The interior is finished in crisp white tones, reinforcing a modern and airy ambiance. Given its direct connection to the pool, non-slip, easy-to-maintain tiles were selected to ensure practicality and safety.

Ascending the wooden staircase leads to the second floor, where a cozy bedroom and an expansive outdoor terrace await. The bedroom features a generously sized bed, a built-in TV, and a balanced composition of wooden wall finishes and warm lighting to enhance relaxation. The adjoining terrace offers unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape, heightening the sense of retreat and tranquility.

To elevate the outdoor experience, a spa area was incorporated within the terrace, accompanied by Scandinavian-style lounge seating, a fireplace, and carefully curated decorative elements. This space, distinct from the villa’s interior, creates an intimate connection with nature. At night, soft ambient lighting enhances warmth and comfort, enveloping the terrace in a gentle glow.

Additionally, outdoor features such as a treehouse and dedicated play areas were introduced to provide children with engaging recreational opportunities, fostering an immersive environment where families can bond with nature. This holistic design approach transforms the villa into more than just a place to stay—it becomes an experiential sanctuary.

The Kids Pool Villa exemplifies the seamless integration of nature and architecture, offering a refined yet family-friendly retreat where guests can unwind and reconnect. By balancing minimalism with warmth and functionality, this project redefines the vacation experience, providing a space that is both comforting and enriching for children and adults alike.
